logologoA pet’s death can trigger the same intense emotions experienced after losing a human loved one.  Grief over the loss of a pet is real and can vary from person to person depending on the bond that was formed between owner and pet.   One of the most important things you can do for yourself, a child, friend, or family member when a pet dies is to acknowledge those emotions

C.A.L.M. (Companion Animal Loss & Memory) Pet Loss Support meetings were started to provide a local venue and information for individuals and families who have lost pets. Coleen Ellis, of Two Hearts Pet Loss Center, brings healing advice and helps families understand the stages of grief.
These gatherings are informal and there is no cost or commitment to attend. Circle City Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital is proud to offer our Conference Area for these monthly meetings.

If you have lost a pet, or know someone who has, C.A.L.M. can be a reassuring place to share feelings and memories. Dates and times for the meetings are posted on Circle City's facebook page or you can call and ask one of our Client Service Representatives at 317 872-8387.
